Like a Child

There's a moment in Matthew's Gospel where Jesus' disciples ask Him how to be successful and important. He set a child in front of Him and said "You must be like a child." Apparently, Heaven's definition of success is quite different than the world's. Jesus also added a sharp warning to leaders not to hinder childlike faith. In this episode, I dive into what it means to have childlike faith, as well as how to identify toxic leaders that steal your joy.

Everything Is Ministry

What does it mean to be in "ministry?" Is it to be a pastor? A missionary? A preacher (or God forbid, a Podcastor?!) All of these things involve ministry, but if our definition of ministry is confined to the walls of the church, we create a divide between "sacred work" and "secular work." The problem is, this line doesn't exist in scripture. Today we are going to dive into the topic of ministering in the workplace, and what it looks like to see the Kingdom of God invade our jobs with signs, wonders, and miracles.

All throughout the Bible and Christian history there are stories of Saints who stepped out of the confines of their physical bodies, and into the realm of the Spirit. Some of them were carried to far off places to preach the Gospel, while others physically appeared in multiple places at once. But are these occurences confined to the pages of history? In Matthew 10:8, Jesus told his disciples to "heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons..." Tyler Johnson takes that verse literally. In fact, his worldwide Dead Raising Teams have seen 22 people raised from the dead! Though his Joy is contagious, Tyler is no stranger to sickeness and death. The Spirit of God has led him into some incredible dark and dangerous situations. Yet time after time, he has seen the Faithfulness of God honor His promise to heal the sick and riase the dead through His people. In this episode, we discuss how he got started in ministry, and how he stays encouraged no matter how tragic the situation in front of him.

After several months, I'm revisiting my series on the Cross! The blood of Jesus is always speaking. Now more than ever is the time to hear and understand it's message. What is the reason for so much evil in the world? Why are so many families torn apart, woman sold into sexual slavery, and homes without fathers? Why is there a constant tension between men and woman to be in competition with one another? Where does shame, guilt, suspicion, sabotage, and hatred come from? In this episode, I'll take you on a journey back to the Garden of Eden to see what went wrong, but more importantly what Jesus has made right. In order to understand what the Cross has restored, we need to understand the dream of God that was (seemingly,) lost.
